Lionel Messi gave every guest at his wedding a bottle of his own-branded wine.
The Barcelona superstar wedded his long-term partner Antonella Roccuzzo at a star-studded ceremony in his hometown Rosario.
Argentina teammate Pablo Zabaleta was one of the 260 guests to witness to occasion, alongside the likes of Sergio Aguero, Neymar and Luis Suarez.
And the new West Ham defender revealed that all of the 260 guests who attended the wedding were handed a special bottle of ‘Leo Malbec’ – the red wine created especially for Messi to raise money for his charitable foundation.
“We got a bottle of really good wine, a Malbec, which Lionel has put his name on the bottle,” Zabaleta told West Ham’s official website .
“It was a big, big bottle of Malbec which was hard to bring back to England, because I had too much stuff in the luggage.
“Of course, I’ve kept that bottle of wine in Argentina so next time we go back there, I will open it and enjoy a few glasses with the family.
“We saw Lionel so happy and enjoying himself with all the lads and also his wife and kids as well, so it was a really good time.”
Zabaleta joined West Ham on a free transfer from Manchester City earlier this summer.
He met up with his new teammates for the first time in training this week as Slaven Bilic’s side prepare to set off for a pre-season training camp in Austria.
